From most accounts its a solid product. I wonder about customer service and reliability. What happens if RIM goes out of business? Who will back it? How will that work? If I have a faulty unit will they back it or give me the run around. I wonder these things because the company is under such stress to meet its margins. They are talking about breaking up the company and laying off about 3,000 people. So I wonder if I get a RIM Blackberry will they back it, will they back me? Or am I forestalling a company from going belly up then left high and dry. I don't know yet. This matters because if invest in it updates are important to keep pace with changes and so forth.

I have one a love it. My wife and daughter kept taking it so I bought them their own.

I love the size, the browser is great, I use the video camera often and book reading, music and videos all work well.

There is currently no Skype for the playbook, but from what I hear it will be available by the end of the year.

Not as, any games and apps as the ipad or droid, but the app selection is growing and getting better and better. Many popular apps are on the playbook like angry birds, cut the rope, need for speed, etc.
