It depends on couples. Sometimes people need some space. A simple answer would be EVERYDAY. but if you notice she is busy then don't call her back at all till she does. Call her once and wait for her to call the next time. If she doesn't call for days then she doens't love you at all. At least a txt msg to check how are you doing everyday would be the least thing to do. don't suffocate her and be smart and moderate.Answer #2:

This sounds like a tough spot to be in.It sounds manipulative.If at any point she felt you were calling too much she should have told you along with why she felt that way.Instead she did not address it until long after she began to feel/think it.Also it appears she knows you feel concerned,yet,she makes no effort to alleviate your concern by a direct chat.Then she puts you off and proceeds to manipulate you with tearfulness to retake a right standing with you.You feel unhappy about her unhappiness because you have maturity and you know what it feels like to be unhappy.But,may I ask,Don't you deserve the same thoughtfulness? The same regard? Many females go through what you are experiencing.It plain sucks.Refreshing to read from a guy that understands.I will make two assumptions.1.
